General Information about the Personal Data Protection Law

The Personal Data Protection Law No. 6698 (hereinafter referred to as KVKK) was adopted on March 24, 2016, and published in the Official Gazette No. 29677 dated April 7, 2016. Some provisions of the KVKK were effective as of the publication date, and some became effective on October 7, 2016.

Notification as Data Controller

In accordance with KVKK No. 6698 and as the Data Controller, your personal data may be recorded, stored, updated, disclosed/transferred to third parties in cases permitted by legislation, classified, and processed in the ways specified on this page.

Processing of Your Personal Data

In accordance with KVKK No. 6698, your personal data shared with our company may be processed, either fully or partially, automatically or non-automatically, within the scope of any data recording system, such as obtaining, recording, storing, modifying, reorganizing, and processing any kind of data processing under KVKK.

Purposes and Legal Grounds for Processing Your Personal Data

Your personal data will be processed within the framework explained on this page for the following purposes and legal grounds, in compliance with KVKK and related secondary regulations:

  • To perform the requirements of the services provided to our customers, develop our products and services, and comply with the terms of contracts and technological requirements.
  • To determine the information of the transaction owner for the identification of the transaction owner's information based on the laws and regulations in the context of Electronic Commerce Law No. 6563, Consumer Protection Law No. 6502, Electronic Commerce Service Providers and Intermediary Service Providers Regulation published in the Official Gazette dated 26.08.2015 and No. 29457, and Distance Contracts Regulation published in the Official Gazette dated 27.11.2014 and No. 29188, and other relevant legislation.
  • For mandatory payment systems in Banking and Electronic Payment, to regulate all records and documents supporting transactions either in electronic contracts or paper-based transactions; to comply with information storage, reporting, and notification obligations required by legislation and other authorities.
  • In matters related to public safety and legal disputes, to provide information to prosecutors, courts, and relevant public officials upon request and in accordance with the legislation. Your personal data may be transferred to third parties, including but not limited to Age Soft, our e-commerce infrastructure provider, suppliers, cargo companies, service providers, business partners, domestic/foreign organizations, and other third parties, in line with the purposes mentioned above.

Collection of Your Personal Data

Your personal data is collected through various channels, including forms on our company's website and mobile applications, verbal, written, or electronic methods through sales and marketing department employees, branches, suppliers, other sales channels, and various channels such as paper forms, business cards, digital marketing, and call centers. Additionally, personal data may be obtained indirectly through websites, blogs, contests, surveys, games, campaigns, and similar micro websites, as well as social media.

Personal Data Obtained Before the Enforcement of KVKK

Personal data obtained before the effective date of KVKK, April 7, 2016, through legal means such as membership, electronic consent, product/service purchase, and other lawful methods are processed and retained in compliance with the terms and conditions specified in this document.

Transfer of Personal Data Abroad

Your personal data collected by any of the mentioned methods may be transferred abroad, provided that it remains within the scope of KVKK and is transferred to service providers (accredited by the Personal Data Protection Board and ensuring adequate protection of personal data) for contract purposes.

Storage and Protection of Personal Data

Your personal data will be kept confidential within our company's database and systems, and, except for legal obligations and regulations specified in this document, will not be shared with third parties in any way. Our company is obliged to take software and physical security measures to prevent the unlawful processing of personal data, prevent unauthorized access, and manage access.

Keeping Your Personal Data Accurate and Up-to-Date

In accordance with Article 4 of KVKK, our company is obliged to keep your personal data accurate and up-to-date. Therefore, our customers must share accurate and up-to-date data or update them via the website/mobile application for our company to fulfill its legal obligations.

Rights of the Personal Data Subject According to KVKK No. 6698

As of the effective date of Article 11 of KVKK, October 7, 2016, the rights of the personal data subject are as follows:

  1. To learn whether personal data is processed,
  2. To request information if personal data has been processed,
  3. To learn the purpose of processing personal data and whether they are used in accordance with their purpose,
  4. To know the third parties to whom personal data is transferred at home or abroad,
  5. To request correction of personal data if it is incomplete or incorrect,
  6. To request the deletion or destruction of personal data within the framework of Article 7 of KVKK,
  7. To request notification of the transactions made pursuant to Article 11/4 of KVKK to third parties to whom personal data has

    been transferred, 8. To object to the occurrence of a result against the individual by exclusively analyzing the processed data through automated systems,

  8. To demand the compensation of damages in case of suffering damage due to the illegal processing of personal data.
  9. Procedure for Exercising Your Rights

    Personal data subjects may exercise their rights by submitting a written request to our company using the contact information provided at the end of this document. Requests will be concluded free of charge as soon as possible and within thirty days at the latest, depending on the nature of the request. However, if the transaction requires an additional cost, the fee in the tariff determined by the Personal Data Protection Board may be charged. Personal data subjects can submit their requests regarding the exercise of their rights in writing or by other methods determined by the Personal Data Protection Board.
